It is 1750 BCE. Hammurabi, the great king of the Babylonian Empire, has recently died of natural causes. The king’s strong control and shrewd diplomacy was the only thing that held the kingdom together. Hammurabi’s son and heir, Samsu-iluna, recognizes the many risks that his empire now faces and has gathered his top advisors for assistance in a variety of pressing matters. Mundane matters like managing infrastructure and expanding the empire are still concerns, but more pressing are the impending revolts in long-conquered regions. Worse, should the kingdom appear too weak, the Hittites and Kassites will be emboldened to invade again. As Samsu-iluna’s advisors, you must maintain and expand the Babylonian empire… and protect your homeland from destruction.
