January 1718: Nassau, Bahamas- News has just reached this pirate stronghold that the British government passed an order deploying warships to actively hunt pirates. In the past, pirates were able to roam the seas from the Caribbean to the North American coast, free to prey on weakly armed merchant ships. Now, the British have finally realized the destruction caused by pirates and are acting aggressively to eradicate piracy. Recognizing the need to band together in this time of peril, pirate captains have called for an unprecedented meeting of all prominent pirates active in the Caribbean. Delegates in this committee will need to overcome past rivalries and work together to protect their pirate base of Nassau. In addition, captains are encouraged to continue recruiting sailors to their ships and raiding merchant convoys, all while evading the British warships hunting them. The more money and resources delegates amass through attacking merchant ships, the more influence delegates will hold in this committee.
