The WYOMUN VIII Executive committee

Liam O'Shaughnessy

Secretary-General

Liam O’Shaughnessy (he/him) is a rising senior who is honored to serve as your Secretary-General for WYOMUN VIII! He has attended numerous conferences in the WHSMUN circuit with the travel team such as SSUNS, YMUN, and IUMUN, where he has received multiple Best Delegate awards. Returning delegates may remember him as the Head Chair of the Vietnam War committee for WYOMUN V, as Director-General for WYOMUN VI, and as Chief of Staff and Head Chair of the Japanese House of Representatives committee from WYOMUN VII. Additionally, he served as the Secretary of Leadership and Development in the club Secretariat last year.

​Outside of Model United Nations, Liam is the captain of the Varsity Academic Team, the school’s trivia team. He also is a Co-Vice President of National Honor Society and a member of Wyoming Speaks, a club that holds periodic presentation and discussion sessions on topics such as intersectional feminism. In addition, he volunteers on a Wyoming environmental initiative, the Stormwater Study Group. A lover of music, he plays piano and sings in the school’s audition choir, and will start harmonically analyzing any Beethoven piece he hears almost out of habit. When he isn’t busy studying mathematics, natural and physical sciences, or history, he enjoys throwing frisbee with his Australian Shepherds, watching the latest French show on Netflix, and composing piano pieces. Liam hopes to make this WYOMUN the best it can be!

Arish Antia

Chief of Staff

Arish Antia (he/him) is a rising junior who is excited to be the Chief of Staff for WYOMUN VIII. You may have seen him last year as the Crisis Director of the 14th Knesset. He has also co-chaired the French Cabinet of the Cross Channel Conflicts at WYOMUN VI. He has attended two WYOMUN’s in Middle School, having started Model U.N in 7th grade, and now thoroughly enjoys High School Model UN. He has attended many conferences such as SSUNS and IMUNC and has won Best Delegate at IUMUN and Honorable at SSUNS. Additionally, he was a Representative on the Secretariat last year, and the Secretary of Logistics at WYOMUN VII. Arish is also the President of the Model U.N club this year.

​Outside of Model U.N, he is a member of National Honors Society, A.D.A.C. (Anti-Discrimination Advisory Council), High Political Discourse Club and Science Olympiad club, and a journalist on the Horizon paper. He is a steering committee member of the Cincinnati Festival of Faiths, a conference attended by about a thousand people. He is also the youth leader of the BCY (Beloved Community Youth), an Interfaith youth group that comprises about seventy-five youths. Arish is also really passionate about politics, and even interned on a congressional campaign last year. He is part of the high school's tennis team, and thoroughly enjoys many sports. He enjoys Social Studies, Chemistry, and Economics and loves to read philosophy and watch sports in his free time. Arish is extremely excited for WYOMUN VIII and can't wait to see you all there. Daniele Sabaliunaite

Director-General

Daniele Sabaliunaite (she/her) is a rising senior and is thrilled to serve as one of your Director-Generals for WYOMUN VIII! This will be Daniele’s third year participating in high school Model UN and fifth year overall. In previous years, Daniele has served as Side Chair of the Alien and Sedition Acts committee (WYOMUN VI) and Head Chair of the CODESA committee (WYOMUN VII). She is excited for the return of in-person conferences and hopes to attend some in the coming year.

Outside of Model UN, Daniele is a part of a variety of different clubs and activities. She runs year round and participates in cross country in the fall and track in the spring. Along with this, Daniele participates in marching band in the fall and winterguard in the winter. Daniele is most passionate about subjects such as psychology and environmental science and loves learning about new cultures. She is also an avid member of Cincinnati’s Lithuanian community, with both of her parents being Lithuanian immigrants. When Daniele isn’t playing her viola or rewatching the 2020 version of Emma, you can find her painting or sketching. She is excited for this year’s WYOMUN and cannot wait to see all delegates, returning and new ones!

Eli Hogenesch

Director-General

Eli Hogenesch (he/him) is a rising junior who is delighted to be acting as one of your Director-Generals for this upcoming WYOMUN VIII. He has been involved with WYOMUN for three years now and had the great opportunity to be a head chair of the 14th Knesset last year and acted as the side chair along with Arish in the Cross Channel Conflict the year previous to that. This will be Eli’s first year taking up a leadership role within Model UN, and he couldn't be more excited for this conference!

Outside from Model UN, Eli competes in year round swimming both for club teams (PCY Tigersharks) and our school team. On top of that, during the spring, he competes in track participating in high jump or distance depending on how he feels. He is also a member of National Honor Society as well as Student Council where he is able to get input for his community and learned many valuable skills for communication. Outside of that, he enjoys online games with his friends. He also really enjoys any type of math as well as social studies and looks forward to all that he can accomplish in the upcoming WYOMUN. ​

Zach Spera

Director-General

Zach Spera (he/him) is a rising junior who is looking forward to serving you as a Director-General for the amazing WYOMUN VIII conference. Zach’s relationship with Model United Nations started as most do with the middle school OMUN conference geared towards introducing kids in grade 6-8 to the outstanding effects of Model UN can have on an individual. Once in high school, Zach focused his time on Crisis of the Peloponnesian War committee in WYOMUN VI, and Death of Hammurabi for WYOMUN VII which both worked to give him experience and insight on the workings of WYOMUN. This year, Zach will be working alongside the dutiful committee leaders to bring you the best Model United Nations conference.

When not working on WYOMUN, Zach participates in a variety of school and extracurricular activities. In regards to sports, Zach runs varsity Cross Country, Swims for the varsity Wyoming High School team and runs the varsity 2 mile for track. Outside of sports, Zach is a member of the National honors society, represents the wishes of the student body as a representative and participates in a youth group centered around giving back to the community. Alongside all of these groups, Zach is a Life Scout working his way to Eagle. Apart from all of his other activities, Zach is looking forward to the amazing WYOMUN VIII conference.

Emmie Morehous

Under-Secretary-General of Registration

Emmie Morehous (she/her) is a rising senior who is beyond excited to serve as your Under-Secretary General of Registration for WYOMUN VIII. Emmie’s love for Model UN began in sixth grade at OMUN and has continued to grow through her participation in various Model UN and WYOMUN conferences.  Emmie helped run the FEMA committee in WYOMUN V, Peloponnesian War committee in WYOMUN VI, and the Kamehameha committee in WYOMUN VII.  This year she is excited to take on another role behind the scenes to create a seamless registration process; a role she loved last year!

​Outside of Model UN, Emmie loves to learn about the world around her through many volunteer activities around the Cincinnati area and travel. Although several European and American cities place very high on her bucket list, her favorite place to visit is Vancouver Island. She can also be found listening to music, baking, watching sports (go blue!), shopping, and hanging out with friends and family! Most of all, Emmie is looking forward to meeting many of you and helping you all register for WYOMUN VIII.

Emma Feldmeier 

Under-Secretary-General of Registration

Emma Feldmeier (she/her) is a rising junior who is very excited to be one of your Under-Secretary-Generals of Registration! This will be Emma’s second year in Model UN. This past year, she participated in IUMUN virtually, where she gained some great experience and had a lot of fun. Coming into this new Model UN season, Emma is looking forward to attending more conferences and working with the team to ensure another great WYOMUN.

Outside of Model UN, Emma plays for the school’s varsity basketball and softball teams. She is also a member of a local youth group, and enjoys participating in all the volunteer opportunities they provide. She is also a new member of the National Honors Society, and is excited to participate further in the club. Additionally, she is a loyal Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry fan, and enjoys watching them play when she can. In her spare time, Emma loves to travel and has big plans for her future ventures, though the Covid-19 pandemic has put a pause on some of her plans. In the summer, she enjoys working as a babysitter and having fun with the kids she looks after. A history and social sciences lover, Emma is obsessed with the musical Hamilton and enjoys all of her social studies classes. Emma aims to bring all that she can to Model UN this year and make it a great experience.

Avi Rosenberg

Under-Secretary-General of Logistics

Avi Rosenberg (he/him) is a rising sophomore who started doing Model UN in 6th grade at OMUN and is very excited to be one of the Under-Secretary-Generals of Logistics for WYOMUN VIII! He is also looking forward to going to many conferences this year including SSUNS in Montreal. During WYOMUN VII, he was co-chair for the Mafia Committee and is once again proud to be involved in WYOMUN. Outside of Model UN he is on the varsity tennis team, participates in Academic Team, and Latin Club, and also loves to cook and relax by watching TV. Avi is eager to see everyone at WYOMUN VIII and wants to make sure everyone has a fun and rewarding experience!

Katie Callahan

Under-Secretary-General of Logistics

Katie Callahan (she/her) is a rising sophomore who is pleased to be one of the Under-Secretary-Generals of Logistics for WYOMUN VIII. She had a great time this year in Model UN, especially at her first high school level conference at IUMUN last school year. She loves the idea of Model UN in general in the role it plays in creating leaders who will work for a more promising future for society. Katie is excited for both participation in future conferences and creating a smoothly run experience for you at WYOMUN VIII.

​Outside of Model UN, Katie plans to spend much of this summer working as a volunteer at the Cincinnati Zoo, where she will help with summer camp, run education stands, and possibly be an animal handler. Katie also enjoys bike rides around town, hiking, rock climbing, and baking (especially dessert). She is also an avid bookworm who will read just about anything, and likes to write in her spare time. She thinks it’s important to keep up with current events, and to be knowledgeable about the past as to better understand the present, which is part of why she enjoys Model UN so much.

Olive Hester

​​Under-Secretary-General of Outreach

Olive Hester (she/her) is a senior who is overjoyed to be your Under-Secretary-General of Outreach for this year’s WYOMUN VIII! She has participated in WYOMUN for the past two years in addition to several years of middle school OMUN. At previous WYOMUN conferences, she has chaired for CODESA (VII) and sub-chaired for London v. Paris: The Fight to Win the World (VI). She is incredibly excited for the return of in-person conferences and to once again join her peers in chairing committees at WYOMUN this year. 

​Outside of Model UN, Olive partakes in several extracurriculars like chess club, Latin Club, Orchestra, and NHS. She is also a huge advocate for mental health and wellness as a member of Cincinnati’s Youth Council for Suicide Prevention. Additionally, Olive cares about LGBTQ+ rights, the environment, and other political issues to discuss. Some of her favorite books are The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton, and The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. She intends to study psychology in the future but also adores math, science, and history. She is looking forward to seeing you all this October and hopes to have a great last WYOMUN.

Hollis Hays
​​Under-Secretary-General of Social Media
Hollis Hays (she/her) is a rising junior who is ecstatic to be participating as your Under-Secretary-General of Social Media for WYOMUN VIII. She started getting involved in Model UN her freshman year when she side chaired the Peloponnesian War committee in WYOMUN VI. She continued to work on WYOMUN VII by participating on crisis for the Kingdom of Kamehameha committee. This year she is excited to be even more involved by keeping giving WYOMUN a social media platform to inform participants on WYOMUN related events. 

​Outside of Model UN, Hollis enjoys any volunteering opportunities she can get to help people and also see more of the greater Cincinnati area. Hollis can be found at cross country or track practice, making friendship bracelets, or reading. Most importantly, Hollis is excited to experience another WYOMUN with you all!
