The year is 10191 A.G. on Arrakis (end of Dune Part Two), a planet far from earth, which is the universe’s chief producer of Spice. Spice is a resource that is imperative for space travel, making it a source of endless wealth for whoever sells it. This planet is home to two civilizations: the Fremen, who are natives of Arrakis, and whatever government is extracting Spice from the dunes of Arrakis at that time. This government is a part of the Imperium, a large governing council that oversees spice production. At this time, the Fremen have overthrown the Imperium in a siege of the capital city, Arkeen, forcing them off Arrakis and therefore stopping all spice production and the revenue that come from it. Delegates of this committee, as representatives of the Imperium, are responsible for the fate of Arrakis and the impact this crisis will have on the universe as a whole.
