Female criminality is one of the most under-addressed issues in the world. The textbook definition of this term is crimes committed and motivated by the perspective of a woman, though they are often set apart from crimes committed by males. Female related crimes are considered “non-violent” or “insignificant.” Some of the main crimes led by women are fraud, prostitution, and drug trafficking. Although these crimes are not categorized as violent, they are not victimless. Additionally, women are on average charged with less time than men on the same accounts. Delegates will be tasked with debating whether female criminality differs from male criminality? Does the biological difference between male and female play a role in being charged for a crime? Delegates, as you represent your nation, you will discuss and solve issues from dealing with the reasons these crimes are committed to sentencing and jail time. Delegates will be considering questions such as how should governments approach this situation and how should the United Nations respond?
