The Xinhai Revolution was the formal conclusion of a Chinese imperial reign spanning 2132 years, 276 among them under the supervision of the Qing dynasty. In addition to multiple domestic conflicts such as the Late Qing reforms and the Self-Strengthening Movement, the widespread ruin of the Second Opium War only continued to weaken the Chinese populous’ faith in its rulership. With multiple divisions developing between social classes, political factions, and ethnic groups alike, resolution to the reign of the Qing has become even more imperative. But from this comes a few crucial questions, including the ways in which to handle the current council of the emperor, how to resolve splintering relations of anti-Qing militias, and how to best assemble the building blocks for the remade nation of China. United under a single desire to bring change to the current state, delegates must work to navigate the intricate process required in the creation of a new nation. Welcome to The Birth of the Chinese Republic: Xinhai Revolution.
