A Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear delegates, advisors, and the Greater Cincinnati community,

My name is Seth Kahn, and I am a rising senior at Wyoming High School and the Secretary-General of WYOMUN VII. It is my great pleasure to invite all of you to participate in the seventh annual WYOMUN conference on October 31st, 2020! For those who have not attended the conference previously, WYOMUN is an annual Model United Nations conference for high school and middle school students in the Greater Cincinnati Area, held at Wyoming High School.

Since our conference began in 2014 with only 35 delegates and as we have grown to over 250 delegates, the WYOMUN staff has worked extremely hard to make our conference an outstanding experience for young delegates. At WYOMUN we strive to provide invaluable opportunities for learning, personal growth, and fun. In previous years, delegates have tackled global issues including immigration, war, and race, along with historical conflicts including the Vietnam War and the Peloponnesian War. This year our committees include the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the 14th Knesset, and the Convention for a Democratic South Africa, as well as many more.

Our staff has been working tirelessly since February to create an amazing conference experience for delegates at WYOMUN VII, and registration for the conference is set to open on September 1st. I am extremely excited to announce that WYOMUN VII will be hosted using Gatherly, a powerful, user-friendly software for professional and Model United Nations conferences! This software will allow us to replicate the conference experience, and we are looking forward to an amazing day. For more information on Gatherly, you can look at their website, gatherly.io.

Because of these unprecedented circumstances, we will be in regular contact with delegates and advisors to manage all questions and concerns. Please feel free to email us with any questions you have at wyomunoh@gmail.com! We hope to see all of you at WYOMUN VII!

Thank you,
Seth Kahn
